I am a wife, stay-at-home, homeschooling mom to three children, homemaker, recent college graduate, mother of a special needs child with Autism and ADD and mompreneur.  Need I say more??

Before starting BellisimaBabyBags.com, I worked in the corporate world before deciding to come home. My oldest son was diagnosed with Autism in 2006 at the age of 4, and later ADD at 8. After his diagnosis, I knew that I would need to be available for doctor's appointments, teacher conferences, etc. in order to support him and facilitate the therapies and services he would need. We also have 2 younger children, whom we decided would benefit from having me at home. So I quit my full-time job to stay-at-home with my three beautiful children. Homeschooling came about shortly after coming home.

I came upon the idea of selling designer baby bags by coincidence. BellisimaBabyBags.com was an opportunity I just couldn't resist.  I yearned to own my very own business with a focus of helping other parents navigate their way through the maze of parenthood fashionably!  When my daughter showed me an old picture of myself, looking quite stylish, I immediately saw something that was a major style blunder.  Despite my chic outfit, I had a bright yellow ducky diaper bag hanging from my shoulder.  "What was I thinking?," I said to myself.  Obviously, not about myself, only the baby.  At the time the photo was taken, I didn't think that a baby diaper bag could be an extension of my personal style.  I viewed it only as something that could hold and transport all of my baby's things from Point A to Point B.  Half the time, I was just trying to get everyone out the door so that I could get to work on time.

I remember when my children were very young, the diaper bags and accessories featured on this site were not very well known or even in existence.  Oh, how I wished I had a pacifier bib especially designed to hold a pacifier or a unique diaper bag that matched my outfit and doubled as my purse!
